The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy 21- 25 Jan

I’m sure this will be a rewarding production

The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy is a new production by a new South Australian company, Slingsby Productions.
This beautiful, dark, funny and interesting theatre show is suitable for theatre goers of all ages, and children aged 10+ - think Edward Scissorhands and The Little Prince.
Inside an enchanting travelling theatre tent, discover a storyteller who shares a timeless tale. Cheeseboy’s home planet has been reduced to a bubbling fondue. How did he become marooned on earth?
Featuring theatrical magic from ingeniously simple lights and mirrors to high-tech marvels and haunting original music, The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy will transport you to a fantastic world.
“Finegan Kruckemeyer has written yet another compelling piece and designer, Wendy Todd, lighting designer Geoff Cobham and composer Quincy Grant have combined to create an ideal environment for its telling. Andy Packer has done wonders bringing this to the stage…Sheehan is a natural storyteller and captivates the audience.” Rip It Up, Dec 2007

**** The Real Thing - state theatre company

The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard is a thinly disguised self-portrait of a writer who, through his life and work, struggles to make sense of that most elusive of human emotions, love.

This hugely entertaining play sparkles with wit, cleverness and acerbic humour. Its cutting and tender insights will follow you out of the theatre and deep into the night.
The Real Thing plays at the Dunstan Playhouse until 8 December.  Tix thru BASS 131 246 or outlets.

The Club nov 16 and 17

Logie winner and Green Room Award winner John Wood stars in “The Club”, David Williamson’s classic Australian play.
“The Club” deals with the transition of Australian sport into Australian business. The culture and rituals of an old football club are torn to shreds as the mighty dollar takes over.
As one player remarks, “all we got for joining was a Guernsey and a pat on the back. I’ve given the club ten years of my life and all I’ve got in the bank is eighty dollars.”
From footy fanatics to culture vultures, “The Club” will entertain people from all ages and backgrounds.
