This Sunday, 23 December (Christmas Eve Eve 4-7pm) - John Baker Duo are playing their last show for the year at The Wheatsheaf (George St, Thebarton), with The Yearlings and The Joans.

If you can’t make it this Sunday, John Baker Duo have a very special gig with John Aue on double bass, on January 11 to bring in 2008.  This will be at the very luxurious new venue, The Promethean (116 Grote Street, Adelaide) with Vincents Chair Trio www.myspace.com/vincentschairtrio
If you havent been to The Prom yet, its a great opportunity to check it out - very nice for people who aren’t into “pubs”….very plush, velvety and comfortable..  The show starts at 9pm sharp.

open studio - kelly milton

Should you need a reason to head to Glenelg during summer, for example, to quaff prawns, view the sea and have a little glass of champers, feel free to include this studio/gallery on your agenda…
Alternately, you could make a weekend appointment, sip on a Coopers, look around the (recently catalogued) artwork in my home/studio/gallery, and I’ll recommend one of the many brilliant eateries etc. in the Bay for afterwards….
Another option is to buy a bit of art, I’ll give you a receipt, you can give the dog a ear-scratch, and I’ll shout a cab to the Bay for food and drinks…
Enjoy the silly season, and remember to do lots of silly things…when questioned, tell onlookers it’s performance art…

Nissan Moonlight Cinema

Nissan Moonlight Cinema

SUMMER 2007/08

This week’s line-up promises night after night of charming leading men, followed at week’s end by one stellar woman from a grandmotherly era. And so it is with grandmotherly women in mind that we offer up this week’s Moonlight Recipe of Choice: the humble homemade scone.

Prepared in under 10 minutes and packed in a slightly damp tea towel (preferably gingham), scones are best consumed in the company of charming dames…with great dollops of cream. When was the last time you took your Nan to the movies, anyway?

Garden Party Recipe # 3: Scones
