ANANGU BACKYARDAnangu Backyard is a multifaceted installation linking art, film, Pitjantjatjara language learning and bushfood. Enjoy the brilliant colour and storytelling through art directly from Aboriginal artists working in centres on the Anangu/ Pitjantjatjara/ Yankunytjatjara Lands in South Australia’s far north “backyard” and take this opportunity to gain an understanding of Anangu artists and sharetheir love of art-making in painting and woven or carved objects. See art about bushfood alongside samples of native foods that you can see, smell and feel or buy Outback Pride bushfood products. On 27-29 January, meet some Anangu artists, watch them paint and on 28 January, visitors will be able to try Bushfood by Ku, delicious cooking with traditional flavours and products (a $5.00 fee will apply).
